The sale encompasses Harmonic's DiviCom standard and high-definition encoders, and the DiviTrack statistical multiplexing system, which maximizes the channel density while providing a broadcast quality picture. NMX Digital Service Manager is being used to monitor service performance as well as to control and automate critical functions.
DiviCom HD encoders offer maximum compression efficiency in a compact 1RU form factor and best-in-class video quality for real-time broadcast applications.
DiviTrack statistical multiplexing further improves bit-rate efficiency by dynamically reallocating bandwidth between channels in the multiplex according to the complexity of the video.
Hearst-Argyle is able to better monitor and control its digital TV services with Harmonic's NMX Digital Service Manger.
