Henderson named managing director at Ascent Media Network Services
Roger Henderson, former president/CEO of Chyron, has assumed a new role at Ascent Media Network Services as managing director of its content distribution business in Europe. Henderson will be based in London and be responsible for the company's operational, strategic and financial activities.
From 1996 to 2003, Henderson was president and CEO of Chyron. Prior to that, he served in a range of technical and managerial roles at Pro-Bel Software, culminating in the position of managing director. During this time, he helped the automation company develop one of the industry's first Media Asset Management products. He was also was a key player in the execution of the sale of Pro-Bel to Chyron.
Henderson is presently non-executive chairman of Trilogy Communications (formerly Trilogy Broadcast), where he has helped the management team define a strategy to allow the company to exploit new markets outside broadcast for its audio command and control technology. He also recently co-founded and provided strategic consultancy to Visual Media, a software developer established to provide Open Source tools for broadcast and video professionals.
Ascent Media Network Services specializes in network origination, content distribution and systems consulting, engineering, integration and support, with content distribution facilities in Los Angeles, New York, Stamford, CT, Minneapolis, MN, London and Singapore.
