By TVTechnology
published Hitachi High-Technologies has launched the MP2000EV, a full MPEG-2 encoder evaluation system with both IP and DVB-ASI outputs.
At the heart of the system is NEL’s SC2020E MPEG-2 encoder module, based on the SuperENC LSI. The MP2000EV supports composite and S-video inputs and up to 2x stereo or 4x mono analog audio inputs. SDI input is available as an option.
These signals are compressed in real-time and multiplexed into an MPEG-2 transport stream. Output can be either be SPI or DVB-ASI direct to an MPEG-2 decoder or a UDP packetized transport stream for delivery to a decoder device via Ethernet.
