Hitachi Denshi Europa, Hitachi Kokusai Electric of Japan and Link Research have reached an agreement to work together for the development and supply of broadcast equipment.
Hitachi Denshi Europa and Hitachi Kokusai Electric will supply Link's products including the LinkXP wireless camera system throughout Asia and Africa. Initially, Link will supply 20 LinkXP wireless camera systems to Hitachi.
In addition to distribution, Link Research and Hitachi will develop specific products for Hitachi Denshi, the broadcast systems division of Hitachi in EMEA.
The LinkXP system, can be attached to any TV camera to give transmission without wires, up to several hundred meters away from an OB vehicle.
Hitachi has also agreed to market other products from Link's broadcast range in Asia. Hitachi will become a prime distributor for Link's broadcast distribution products such as the L1000 low-delay encoder/modulator.
Hitachi will provide a complete support and repair service for Link's products throughout Asia and Africa.
