Home Theatre Company Offers ‘Cash For Clunkers’ Program
Diamond Case Designs, an Anaheim, Calif.-based company specializing in the design and production of home theatre systems has announced its own version of the federal government’s “cash for clunkers” program.
The company noted that an increasing number of its customers have been upgrading from older model analog CRT or rear projection television displays in favor of new digital designs. In order to provide an environmentally friendly means for disposing of these older sets, Diamond Case Designs has partnered with All Green Electronics to recycle and repurpose the older television sets. And to promote this alliance, Diamond has initiated an “All-Green, Cash-for-Clunker TV Recycling Event.”
Diamond is encouraging the public to drop off their old sets and receive up to $1,200 in trade-in value on new eligible Energystar 3.0-compliant digital television receivers. These units follow the EPA’s power consumption guidelines, using less than a single watt when in standby mode, and only about 200 watts when switched on.
Participants who drop off discarded electronics at Diamond’s showroom site in Anaheim will receive a voucher that can be redeemed for up to $1,200 when applied to the purchase of an eligible television receiver. The company has also offered to schedule a pick up service for television sets too large or heavy to be easily delivered to the showroom.
The “Cash-for-Clunker” program is scheduled for only three days--Oct. 9-11--and will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day at Diamond Case Designs showroom. For more information, call 800-616-5354, or visit www.diamondcase.com.
