HP CEO To Deliver NAB Keynote
Carly Fiorina, chairman and CEO of Hewlett-Packard, will open NAB2004 by delivering the all-industry keynote address. That afternoon, Shane Robison, HP's chief strategy and technology officer, will address attendees at the super session, "New Media Visions for the Future."
Fiorina joined HP in 1999, and led the company's merger with Compaq. NAB president and CEO Edward O. Fritts said the organization is excited to have her open the conference because "she understands the power of new technology when combined with the genius and imagination of the broadcast industry." Fiorina has stated that the future of television and film will not be determined by those who resist change, but by those who embrace it. Building on this theme, Robison, who is credited with shaping HP's business and technology strategy, will discuss new digital and virtual opportunities, and his belief that innovations in digital technologies will create new opportunities.
