HTN Launches Fiber Network For Games Coverage
By TVTechnology
published HTN Communications is launching an all-digital fiber-optic network to transport sports programming.
The network is based on dynamic synchronous transfer mode (DST) private lines deployed nationally. Designed for use by broadcasters, the lines will connect the arenas of NBA, NHL and MBL to HTN’s broadcast customers.
HTN expects the new network to expand available bandwidth and provide broadcasters with multiple backhaul capabilities from several venues, both in SD and HD.
