IABM offers grant to promote broadcast engineering education
The IABM is offering a $39,500 award to help a university, college or other training organization develop a new program or to expand an existing course for broadcast engineering.
The Tom McGann Training Award rewards training development and delivery in an industry where highly skilled engineers are becoming scarce.
This award recognizes the lifetime of commitment to broadcast engineering by the late Tom McGann who was chairman of the IABM for many years and a training advocate.
The association also announced that it was offering selected engineering students sponsorships valued at $1840 to attend IBC2007 in Amsterdam.
