IBC Sets Attendance Record at Latest Event
Attendance was up again at the recently concluded IBC2006, with delegate numbers officially tallied at 44,808, a record for the show.
"IBC is growing its stature as a must-visit for professionals from all over the globe who are interested in the future of electronic media," said Michael Crimp, IBC director of marketing and business development. "But more than that we have been pleased to welcome more and more visitors who are leaders in their field. It is the quality of individual delegates, not just increased volume, which is IBC's hallmark."
A number of awards were presented at the show, both to individuals and companies.
Award Categories included International Honor for Excellence, Innovation Awards, Exhibition Stand Design and Best Conference Paper.
The awards were presented in a special ceremony held on Sunday evening, Sept. 10.
The international broadcasters' conference is held in Amsterdam has been held yearly since 1967 and attracts more than 1,000 exhibitors and attendees from more than 120 countries.
