IMAGICA Technologies shows B&W film stock support for Imager HSR
At IBC2007, IMAGICA Technologies featured black and white film stock support for its IMAGER HSR film recorder, which can accommodate fine grain black and white as well color intermediate stocks.
The Imager HSR film recorder delivers high speed and high quality for the final time-crunched phase of DI: recording projects back to film. The system can record three frames of 2K-formatted files per second in color, and six frames per second in black and white, up to six times faster than current laser film recorders operating at 2K.
The IMAGER HSR Film Recorder combines a newly developed optical engine with JVC's D-ILA LCOS imaging device and LED illumination to record motion picture data to Eastman Kodak 5242 intermediate film as well as Kodak 2238, 5234 and 2369 black and white film stocks. The IMAGER HSR supports 10-bit Cineon and DPX files.
