InfoComm 05 attendance up
Last week’s InfoComm 05 conference, put on by the International Communications Industries Association (ICIA), drew record numbers of attendees during the week-long event in Las Vegas.
Attendance at the end of the first day of the trade show this year, which highlights the latest in ProAV technology, exceeded total attendance in 2004 by 10.2 percent, with 25,240 preliminary registrations for 2005, compared to 22,894 total registrations in 2004.
AV professionals from more than 80 countries attended this year.
More than 725 exhibitors demonstrated products and services at InfoComm this year, representing a 12 percent increase over the previous record of 647 in 2004. Exhibitors occupied 385,540 net square feet of exhibit and special events space, compared to 319,860 square feet in 2004. More than 170 new exhibitors joined this year's show.
