British Sky Broadcasting (BSkyB) has purchased 12 Inca RTX systems from Leitch subsidiary Inscriber .
Inca RTX is designed for creating custom broadcast applications for sports, elections, and other areas like breaking news where it is critical for newsrooms to have up-to-the-minute data. The system handles real-time 2D and 3D graphics, video and can be used for interactive programs like games shows and shopping channels.
"The recent purchase of 12 Inscriber Inca RTX systems positively supports our progressive plans for enhancing our capabilities," said Mark Crawford, who heads up the broadcast computing group for based BSkyB.
