ION moves to HD
ION Media Networks announced the launch of ION Television HD, the HDTV version of the company’s main network, ION Television.
ION Television HD will air ION Television’s full lineup of programming in HD beginning in the first quarter of 2008.
Programs will be broadcast in 720p HD, and will be delivered over-the-air via DTV broadcast, cable, telco-TV and satellite. The network will feature native and upconverted HD programming, and will be carried on all of ION Media Network’s television stations around the country.
ION Media Networks is headquartered in West Palm Beach, FL. The company owns and/or operates 60 full-power broadcast television stations, including stations in each of the top 20 U.S. markets and 39 of the top 50 markets.
