JVC releases MPEG-2 encoder for HD terrestrial, satellite broadcasting
The unit includes reference to HD-SDI input or house sync and a 1 RU high form factor.
JVC has released the DM-JV600 high-definition MPEG-2 encoder.
The encoders allows users to create an MPEG-2 bitstream from a high definition source and is seen as a solution for those who need to master D-VHS recordings as well as those involved in terrestrial and satellite broadcasting.
The unit features: HD-SDI input; DVB-ASI MPEG-2 transport stream output; reference to HD-SDI input or house sync; MPEG-2 compression; front-panel selectable 9 Mb/s to 40 Mb/s bit rate; and a 1 RU high form factor.
