JVC unveils GY-HD200U ProHD camcorder
JVC Professional Products Company has introduced the GY-HD200U high definition camcorder.
The camcorder is capable of HDV720/60P progressive image acquisition due to JVC’s new “Super Encoder” developed for the latest line of ProHD products.
The 60P format provides 60 full frames of information per second, which can be used to view and analyze motion as well as deliver “overcranked” recording for slow motion when the final output is 24P.
The GY-HD200U uses all of the accessories currently available for the GY-HD100U, including the new 1/3in mount HD lenses introduced at NAB2006.
JVC also has created an exclusive optional HZ-CA13U lens adapter designed for the 1/3in bayonet mount of JVC ProHD camcorders, which enables the use of 16mm film prime lenses with a PL (Positive Lock).
