KBNC selects VectorBox for news playout in San Francisco
Vector 3 has announced that the NGC Group, owner of several U.S.-based Korean TV channels, has purchased the VectorBox integrated playout solution to broadcast live news and other programming from its newly established KBNC-TV operation based in San Francisco.
The tapeless workflow is used to broadcast Korean programming 24/7. The program lineup includes a combination of popular shows produced by Korean media giant MBC with a variety of live news and programs produced out of the San Francisco studio.
System Integrator IISN Systems, which specializes in Korean systems integrations, designed and built the San Francisco facility for the NGC Group.
The VectorBox system is also used for live program playout with full control over graphics for shows produced in San Francisco. Satellite, RSS data or MXL feeds can be branded — manually or automated —during live playout. The ystem is integrated with standard IT and broadcast hardware including Apple Final Cut editing workstations, FOR-A and Harris for multiviewing and routing of media over standard IT storage.
