KCXP Adds Chyron to Graphics Suite
Aspen, Colo.-based broadcaster KCXP-LP TV-19 has installed a new Chyron MicroX graphics system and DynaCrawl data display system to add to its graphics suite. Waymo Engineering did the install.
The DynaCrawl data display system automatically imports data from text files that can be manually created, or continually updated from news, sports, weather and financial services. The crawl, with time and temperature display and an animated station ID bug, is updated and controlled remotely from the KCXP studios and offices in downtown Aspen. The MicroX graphics system forms part of KCXP's live production system. The MicroX's flexibility allows KCXP's graphic artists to import and export standard file types, and automatic aspect ratio conversion.
KCXP station owner Marcos Rodriguez said, "We are very happy with the Chyron systems. The DynaCrawl interface is intuitive and easy to use and the image is second to none."
