KSPS-TV adds three Fujinon HD studio lenses

KSPS-TV the flagship PBS station of the Inland Pacific Northwest, owned and operated by Spokane Public Schools, recently purchased three Fujinon XA22X7BES compact HD studio lenses for use in its HD production studio in Spokane, WA.

The facility upgrade also included three Sony HDC 1400 HD cameras. KSPS produces programs and series for local and national public television distribution from this facility, which opened earlier this year.

The station replaced equipment that had been in use at the studio for nearly 20 years. KSPS director of engineering Bob Wyatt said the purchase will improve image quality.

The Fujinon XA22X7BES lenses are being used to shoot several KSPS series in HD. The XA22X7BES comes standard with digital control technology that addresses breathing issues. It enables the angular field of view to remain constant by synchronizing the zoom movement to the focus movement, reducing image size change when focusing.
