KTVZ-TV in Bend, OR, said last week it had launched NewsChannel 21 in high definition, becoming the first television station in central Oregon to offer viewers a HD look at their community.
The station's owner, News-Press & Gazette, of St. Joseph, MO, has made substantial investments in the station to upgrade its news operation to high definition.
