KVHP Goes to Air With Airo
By TVTechnology
published Television station KVHP in Austin, Texas, recently upgraded its automation system to supply a second channel of programming, using Airo automation from Digital Transaction Group (DTG). The Airo system at KVHP controls two channels and controls a 360 Systems Image 2000 server, a Thomson Venus router, Grass Valley M-21 master control switcher and DVCPRO VCRs. The new system lets a single operator manage the on-air signals for two channels.
DTG acquired the Airo automation from now-defunct Odetics Broadcast. The product provides device control, schedule management, content acquisition and archiving.
