Leader to highlight CINELITE at Broadcast Live & Video Forum

Leader will highlight the CINELITE option for its LV5700A, LV5750 and LV5800 multiformat monitors Jan. 30-Feb. 1, 2008, at the Broadcast Live & Video Forum in London.

CINELITE enables TV content producers to determine precise camera exposure settings by detecting actual signal levels rather than merely displaying local light intensity, which enables a camera's full dynamic range.

Camera parameters can then be adjusted to achieve a high-contrast film look if required as opposed to the softer luminance gradient traditionally associated with television.

Camera output is monitored on the test instrument's 1024 x 768-pixel TFT LCD screen. Hairline cursors can then be used to select the brightest and darkest points in the scene. At the press of a button, CINELITE shows the optimal exposure setting as an f-stop or a percentage value. The camera can then be adjusted for optimal exposure, reducing or eliminating the time needed to correct color balance, gamma and contrast during post production.
