LG Electronics Tapped for Multiple CES Awards
LG Electronics is slated to receive multiple CES 2008 Innovations Awards and two of these may be of interest to RF Report readers.
One of them is for the company’s model 52LG71 52-inch 1080p LCD HDTV with integrated 802.11 technology, providing wireless transmission of 1080p programs. Another is for the Zenith DTT900 Digital TV Tuner, which was one of the first tuners certified for the U.S. Commerce Department’s coupon program.
“CES Innovations Awards are the benchmark for cutting-edge, best-in-class consumer technology,” said Michael Ahn, president and CEO of LG Electronics North America. “We are honored that industry leaders again recognize LG’s commitment to delivering advanced technology and innovative design to consumers in the United States and around the world.”
CES Innovation Awards are selected by a panel of prominent industry designers, engineers and journalists after considering user value, aesthetics, innovative design, quality and contributions to the quality of life. They are sponsored by CEA and endorsed by the Industrial Designers Society of America.
