Library of Congress converts to Prism
By TVTechnology
published The United States Library of Congress has recently received 12 Prism Sound ADA-8XR analog-to-digital converters. The ADA-8XRs, which are fitted with optional AES-EBU audio output cards, form part of the digital audio archiving systems at the library’s recently completed National Audio Visual Conservation Center (NAVCC) in Culpeper, VA, about 75 miles southwest of Washington, D.C.
The interfaces are being used at the NAVCC in conjunction with digital audio recording workstations to digitize the many analog audio recordings in the Library Of Congress’s collections.
