M2sat launches new satellite services

published M2sat and Thuraya Satellite Telecommunication has launched a new generation of broadband mobile satellite services that enables a full range of broadband IP and multimedia services from portable terminals.
M2sat will provide mobile broadband services from portable TakeAway terminals to the international broadcasting industry and other high capacity users in the government and corporate sector.
The M2sat TakeAway terminal is designed to fit into a carry on suitcase with broadband capability in the new SNG-Light unit.
The M2SAT satellite system includes:
- Portable user terminal equipment (TakeAway terminal)
- L-band transponder capacity on the geo stationary satellites
- Fixed earth stations or gateways
- Connectivity to terrestrial networks (switched and IP network connections)
