Major League Baseball to Stream 'Condensed' Games on the Internet
MLB Advanced Media, the interactive media and Internet company of Major League Baseball, is adding a new video service, "Condensed Games," to the subscription streaming baseball coverage available at MLB.com.
Condensed Games will supply a 20-minute-long video stream for each game that captures every hit, run and out. Condensed Games will be available to fans 90 minutes after the completion of a game. The site's multimedia content is played through RealNetworks' RealOne player.
Condensed Games joins a number of features introduced on the site last year. These include Gameday Audio's live and archived audio Webcasts of all games; Custom Cuts, a tool for fan creation of video highlight reels; and Baseball's Best, a video library of great games in baseball history, which will soon include original radio calls of classic games from the 1930's through the present.
