Masters Tourney Returns to Internet

CBSSports.com will again be providing live coverage of the 2009 Masters Tournament via Internet streaming. More than 48 hours of action from the Augusta (Ga.) National Golf Club is planned for April 9-12.

The event is available free at both the cbssports.com and masters.com Web sites and will allow Internet viewers to watch the action via and enhanced video stream at bit rates of up to 1.2 Mbps. The streamed video is also available from the CBS Audience Network, which is spread across more than 200 Web sites, including CBS.com, AOL, Fancast, MSN, Veoh and Yahoo!

A new tournament coverage feature this year is a "Masters Live" recap show which will be hosted by Ian Eagle and Matt Gogel, who are also providing running commentary and analysis for other elements of the entire four-day golfing event.

The "Masters Live" event, which is being produced in conjunction with CBS Sports and the Masters Tournament, consists of three separate parts: "Amen Corner Live," "Masters Extra" and "15 & 16 Live."

The Masters tourney is being broadcast on CBS for the 54th consecutive year, with 2009 marking the 73rd playing of the event itself.
