By TVTechnology
published Media 100, a unit of Optibase, has released its Media 100 HD for the Macintosh platform. The 10-bit uncompressed SD and HD editing system enables editors to work in both SD and HD and even mix SD and HD content (in both 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios) in the same programs using the same timeline.
Magic Eye, a post house based in Cologne, Germany, has purchased five new Media 100 HD systems to upgrade its existing Media 100i systems.
The new system also allows users to:
- Mix uncompressed and compressed media;
- Mix M-JPEG, DV, animation and other QuickTime codecs in real time without lengthy importing or rendering;
- Mix analog and digital video;
- View SD and HD output simultaneously, regardless of source material.
Media 100 HD is now shipping with Version 10 software.
