By the end of the month, Media 100, a provider of advanced media systems, plans to open a facility in Soho, at the heart of the U.K.'s broadcast and production community to showcase its 844/X real-time vertical editing system.
Editors and production facility personnel will be able to see the speed and power of 844/X at Media 100's new Soho office.
The company also plans to add 844/X facilities in Los Angeles, New York and Paris to serve top-tier broadcast and post-production clientele.
The central-London office will be the home of sales and technical teams as well as a fully equipped 844/X demonstration suite. Editors and production facility personnel will be able to see the speed and power of 844/X in a relaxed environment with industry experts on hand to answer questions and put the system through its paces.
In addition, the Media 100 Soho Square office will facilitate the growing training and development requirements of editors and operators by launching a free 844/X certified training program.
This will take the form of an intensive one-day training course in the new Soho facility that will take trainees through the operation of 844/X, allowing them to better exploit the integrated editing and compositing capabilities of the system and feeding the growing demand for freelance 844/X operators in London.
With more than 550 editing installations in London, more than 100 of which are in Soho, Media 100 has built a strong and loyal user base at the center of the U.K.'s broadcast and post-production industry.
