Media Security and Reliability Council Wraps Up Work
The Tuesday morning (March 2) meeting of the Media Security and Reliability Council (MSRC) at the FCC will conclude the council's work under its two-year charter. Final reports and best practices recommendations will be presented to broadcast, cable and satellite industry members of MSRC at that meeting, which will include Security Secretary Tom Ridge. The Public Communications and Safety Working Group and the Communications Infrastructure Security, Access and Restoration Working Group will present additional best practices recommendations and final reports.
The public is invited to Tuesday's meeting. Real Audio and streaming video access to the meeting will also be available on the FCC web site. A link to the meeting will be posted on the FCC Audio/Video Events Home Page. The public can submit written comments before the meeting. These should go to Barbara Kreisman, the designated Federal Officer for MSRC.
