Media security meeting scheduled for Nov. 6
The FCC’s Media Security and Reliability Council will hold its biannual meeting Nov. 6 to update members of the broadcast, cable and satellite industries on efforts to maintain media infrastructure security.
The Communications Infrastructure Security, Access and Restoration working group will present its recommendations for industry best practices related to physical security, prevention and restoration.
At the meeting, the Public Communications and Safety working group will report to the council on an upcoming workshop it plans to conduct in Tampa, Fla.
The meeting is open to the public and will be streamed via the Internet. Viewing requires RealPlayer. The meeting will start at 10 a.m. Eastern Standard Time and can be viewed from the commission’s Web site.
