Metra has unveiled version 2.5 of Weatherscape XT, an HD-compatible system that provides automated weather presentation and production.
New additions enable weathercast and show specific features that can be scheduled for automated playback and for multiple remote locations. Equipped with an internal automated production system, broadcasters can automate the delivery of weathercasts across a variety of broadcast and non-broadcast media.
Weatherscape XT’s virtual reality display capabilities take the viewer into the weather forecast. Version 2.5 has smoother interlaced graphics with reduced sparkle.
The company has also enhanced Weatherscape’s Camera Motion Path Editor. Camera angle and vertical field of view can be independently changed for each point in a motion path.
