Mets Select Ross Products for New Facility
The New York Mets has tapped Ross Video switcher and server products for use in the ball club’s build out of a new high-definition control room at Citi Field, located in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park section of New York City.
"We did an industry wide search for HD switchers and servers as part of our new control room design, and Ross offered the best feature set and value," said Tim Gunkel, senior director of marketing production for the New York Mets. "Ross understands the unique requirements of stadium productions and provides outstanding after sale support. The Vision QMD/X digital production switcher, with MultiPanel control capabilities along with the SoftMetal Video Server (SMS) will play a key role in delivering Mets fans the ultimate game day experience at the Mets’ new world class home."
The new ball park will officially open on April 13, but the new control room facility is expected to be fully operational for two pre-season games scheduled for on April 3 and 4.
