Microwave Radio Communications Offers Ultralow Delay HD Transmission
Microwave Radio Communications, the U.S. supplier for Link Research, announces the deployment of Link's new ultralow delay transmission system for high-definition television. The first domestic use of the company's was in connection with the recent New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons football game. The technology was also used for transmission of the West Asian Games in Doha, Qatar.
"The success of the first ultralow delay HD transmission on Monday Night Football and the West Asian Games is yet another example of Link's ability to deliver superior technology ahead of the industry curve," said David Emma, Microwave Radio Communications vice president of sales.
System latency for the technology is approximately 60 ms.
