Miranda bridges HDV and SDI
Miranda Technologies announced its new HD-bridge HDV to HD-SDI decoder.
It can capture material with a Sony or JVC HDV camera to be edited on a HD-SDI editing system and distributed within HD-SDI plant infrastructures without quality loss.
The combination of an HDV camera and Miranda’s HD-Bridge delivers full-quality HD-SDI content. The new HD-Bridge addresses several HDV interfacing tasks, such as broadcast distribution and playout that require edited and stored HDV material to be converted into HD-SDI for direct on-air broadcasting. Post-production monitoring in the editing suite also requires conversion of HDV signals to digital, analog, HD, and audio. Another core requirement is converting compressed HDV captured on-set into uncompressed HD-SDI so that it can be edited with HD-SDI systems for lossless content creation.
