Miranda's Xmedia Suite streamlines graphics workflows
Miranda Technologies has introduced Xmedia Suite, a template-based graphics automation system designed to streamline both live production and channel branding graphics workflows.
Miranda said Xmedia Suite is ideal for all types of news programs, including special events such as elections, as well as for branding and promotional graphics in master control. An open and modular architecture allows scaling from a single user up to hundreds of users across multiple locations.
The applications offer asset management, graphics creation, content editing, and real-time data management, as well as work order management and playout control. Television-ready graphics can be created directly from a user's desktop, dropped into user-defined templates, linked to live data sources and quickly inserted into playlists.
The company said Xmedia Suite can be embedded in third-party systems, including newsroom systems such as AP ENPS and Avid iNews. This allows journalists to update news stories with the newsroom system, and quickly create corresponding graphics using templates and image databases created by the graphics team. An MOS interface provides dynamic updates to graphics to reflect late breaking content without operator intervention.
