‘Monsters vs. Aliens’ vs. Oz in Blu-ray Top 10

published A 2009 computer-animated title and a 70 year-old film classic took the top two slots in the latest bestselling Blu-ray list. “Monsters vs. Aliens” led the pack, with a remastered “The Wizard of Oz” coming in at the runner-up post.
Both titles had just entered the Blu-ray realm after successful theater runs (albeit a few generations apart).
The Top 10 Blu-ray title sales for the week ending Oct. 3, according to Rentrak:
- “Monsters vs. Aliens” (Paramount)
- “The Wizard of Oz: 70th Anniversary” (Warner Bro.)
- “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” (20th Century Fox)
- “Superman/Batman: Public Enemies” (Warner Bro.)
- “Observe and Report” (Warner Bro.)
- “Star Trek: Next Generation Motion Picture Collection” (Paramount)
- “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” (Warner Bro.)
- “Gladiator” (Paramount)
- “Star Trek: The Original Series (Season 2)” (Paramount)
- “Crank 2: High Voltage” (Lionsgate)
