Montreal broadcaster adds HyperX² graphics systems
French-language Montreal broadcaster TVA has installed three additional Chyron HD/SD-switchable HyperX² graphics systems to complement an existing trio used to generate HD graphics.
TVA is using the graphics systems for a variety of programs, including information and public affairs and entertainment, as well as for information commercial production and home shopping operations.
The HyperX² combines Lyric PRO 2-D/3-D content creation software with a video graphics processor that delivers more than twice the performance of its predecessor.
In addition, a Chyron CAMIO cluster — a fully redundant pair of CAMIO servers that removes single points of failure from mission-critical news graphics operations — provides an interface to create, preview and publish graphics. Coupled with Chyron’s iSQ, a centralized remote monitoring and playout application, TVA can control independent output channels across multiple devices of MOS-generated playlists.
