More Time to File Broadcast Localism Comments
By TVTechnology
published The FCC has extended the public comment deadlines for the broadcast localism proceeding. The agency seeks comments on whether it needs to adopt new rules to promote localism in TV and radio.
Several parties, including NAB, The Illini Media Company, and the Media Access Project, asked for at least a 60-day extension. Comments to MB Docket 04-233 were due Sept. 1. That's been extended to Nov. 1.
