MPEG Industry Forum to host master class at IBC2007
The MPEG Industry Forum (MPEGIF) will host “Next-Generation Television Technology and Business Models,” a full-day master class Thursday, Sept. 6, at IBC2007.
The class will focus on how new technologies are changing the way digital television is created, compressed, stored, delivered and monetized. The MPEGIF has confirmed keynote speakers and panelists that include senior executives from BSkyB, T-Com, FastWeb, T-Online, Virgin Media, Telecom Italia, Orange/France Telecom, IPTV Americas, Cinea, Harmonic, NagraVision, Pace, IBM, Sony, Sun, Open TV, Playboy TV, ESPN, 3Vison, ADB, Amino and Telemak.
Sessions will include:
· “The Next-Generation Television Business Models”
· “Stopping the IP Pirates”
· “New Video Applications and Services”
· “So Many Ecosystems — So Little Time”
The MPEGIF–sponsored conference will take place from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in Room A of the RAI Convention Center in Amsterdam.
