Mullen to lead NAB’s government relations office
The NAB has named Mike Mullen, a former Congressional aide specializing in digital television issues, as its new director of government relations.
Mullen formerly worked in the office of Rep. Mike Doyle (D-PA), where he served as senior legislative assistant since March 2004. With a focus on DTV legislation and the Satellite Home Viewer Improvement Act, Mullen was responsible for all telecommunications, technology, consumer protection and health care issues before the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.
Prior to joining Doyle’s staff, Mullen worked for Rep. Jim Turner (D-TX). During Mullen’s six-year stint, he served as legislative assistant, and later, senior legislative assistant, focusing on telecommunications, technology, health care and trade.
Mullen received a bachelor’s degree from James Madison University in 1996.
