MultiDyne introduces HD-3000 Series serial digital video fiber-optic transport link
MultiDyne has introduced the HD-3000 Series serial digital video fiber-optic transport link, which can handle data rates of 5Mb/s-2970Mb/s. The fiber-optic link supports the 1080p 3Gb/s HD format. The product line is intended to ease the engineering and financial difficulties associated with the migration to digital and HDTV. The HD-3000 line will provide an economical solution for the fiber-optic transport and distribution of virtually any digital signal from 5Mb/s to 3Gb/s, reducing risk for new formats in the foreseeable future. The HD-3000 future proofs system design and infrastructure to support 1080p.
The systems will transparently pass any embedded audio and data, but the audio and data must be embedded and extracted separately.
The HD-3000 Series is available in compact stand-alone and rack-mount packages, making it ideal for applications including field remotes, sporting events, ENG/SNG, production and in-plant signal distribution. The power requirements are 110VAC and 220VAC with a wall-mount power supply or 5VDC to 16VDC with an external battery.
The compact unit can distribute digital signals up to 15km over single-mode or up to 300m over multimode fiber-optic cables.
