MultiDyne to debut fiber-optic transport at NAB
MultiDyne's fiber transport system reduces the equipment required at the central node from a typical installation.
At NAB2006, MultiDyne will introduce a new fiber optic transport system for the distribution of uncompressed video, audio and data.
The new technology simplifies the architecture of a fiber optic network, reduces equipment costs, simplifies design and maintains uncompressed, digital, broadcast quality video from end to end.
Its fiber transport system reduces the equipment required at the central node from a typical installation of eight to 10 rack-units to only one or two, and at the destination point from three to four down to one to two rack-units. Signal quality is maintained by digitizing once as opposed to digitizing twice.
