Music and Entertainment Television Chooses Crispin Automation
Music and Entertainment Television (ME TV) has selected an automation system from Crispin Corp. to support the regional channel's 24-hour programming.
The Austin, Texas-based channel is using the system for on-air playback, record scheduling and archiving of content material.
Crispin's RapidPlayX application provides playlist monitoring and control, and automatically loads daily programming and recording schedules. It automatically updates events when new material appears on the server.
For archiving operations, ME TV is using Crispin's ArchiveManager along with an external 16 bay nearline RAID system. All archived material is readily available for play-to-air and dubbing through drag and drop asset transfers.
ME TV launched operations Oct. 1, 2005, and provides 24-hour music and entertainment programming to Austin residents, as well as those of 40 surrounding cities. The channel showcases regional artists and groups touring in and around Austin.
