NAB Show: Barco Projects Its HD Wares
Barco, which makes monitors and projectors, brought several new HD items to the exhibit floor this week, including the OV-508—a XGA 50-inch HD DLP projection monitor which can operate either as part of a large video wall or by itself. Barco said the unit has a high-contrast design and a “high-bright lamp” for added illumination. It comes with a broadcast package that offers color filters for match up to studio applications.
Barco also displayed its LCN-47 HD LCD, which is geared to control rooms, special signage, and advertising applications. It is native 1920x1080 (1080p). It includes variable calibration and colorization controls for broadcast applications, according to the Duluth, Ga.-based company.
The small 23-inch LCD monitor (RHDM-2301) is built for high-end work where color is of highest priority, Barco said. It is LED backlit, has 120 Hz, a 10-bit panel, and its calibration automation is embedded.
Barco is in booth SL5008.
