Twelve digital television (DTV) companies are sponsoring a DTV content and technology showcase - the "DTV Drafthouse: Technology On Tap!" - at this week's NAB convention.
Advanced Digital Broadcast (ADB), ATI Technologies, RDI, Panasonic, Sharp, Sony, Thomson, Toshiba and Zenith Electronics are all contributing products to the DTV Drafthouse, including a variety of DTV display technologies, receiving equipment and audio components. In addition, ABC, CBS, HD Vision Studios and NBC are providing DTV programming for convention attendees to enjoy in a bar setting.
Demonstrations, such as the DTV Applications Software Environment (DASE) Standard, Enhanced VSB and Smart Antenna Interface will be conducted in a section of the DTV Drafthouse. The DTV Drafthouse, located in the Las Vegas Convention Center's Central Grand Lobby, will offer wine, beer and snacks for sale during posted hours.
The DTV Drafthouse exhibit will be open:
- 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m, Saturday and Sunday, April 5 and 6
- 9 a.m. to 6 p.m, Monday, April 7
- 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m, Tuesday and Wednesday, April 8 and 9
- 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday, April 10
