NAB2006: FOR-A to Unveil HD/SD Signal Processor
FOR-A said it plans to introduce its newest multi-purpose processor in its FA series, the FA-9000, at NAB2006 in Las Vegas, on April 24-27 (Booth C3210). The Cypress, Calif. firm said the new FA-9000's frame-synchronizing feature supports all HD, SD, analog, digital and audio formats.
The processor uses 12-bit internal processing suitable for HD video, and includes an upconverter, downconverter, color corrector, median-based noise reduction, logo generator and a Dolby-E decoder in a 1 RU size.
FOR-A said the FA-9000 supports all video signal input and output formats for digital signals (such as HD-SDI and SD-SDI) and for analog component (HD and SD) and analog composite. The company also said the new processor is designed to support all video signals from signal conversion to format conversion. (It includes digital analog input and output for audio signals in the same manner as video signals.)
