NAB2007: AccuWeather Forecast Calls for CinemaLive HD
AccuWeather unveiled its CinemaLive HD Weather system for local stations at NAB2007 last week, a newly enhanced graphics and software system which comes with an array of options that includes placing the live images of station meteorologists directly into the local environs (graphically, at least) of a respective market's landmarks, or its current weather conditions.
AccuWeather said its state-of-the-art graphics engine from BrainStorm Multimedia is now being used in an SD mode by various networks such as ESPN, NBC and the BBC, and the latest package adds various HD elements in a no-render architecture that is live on each layer. The HD package includes virtual sets that can be localized down to the most recognizable street corners and other landmarks of a given city or region.
AccuWeather says its CinemaLive HD package will begin shipping to media outlets in the fall.
