NAB2007: Global HD Super Session to Include NAB Chief
One of the last sessions on the agenda at next month's NAB show in Las Vegas will be a meeting of the minds for "The Global Picture on HDTV Deployment: Lessons Learned, Mistakes to Avoid."
The 4:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m. event on Wednesday, April 18, will include NAB President/CEO David Rehr and Jonathan Collegio, NAB's vice president for Digital Television Transit.
Other panelists (not yet announced) will include broadcasters and technologists involved in various DTV transitions underway in Australia, Europe, the Pacific Rim and North America.
NAB told HD Notebook that Pierre Helsen of Sweden also has been confirmed as a presenter. Sweden is dealing with its DTV transition on a regional basis, providing interesting contrast with most other countries that plan to shut off all analog signals at the same time nationwide.
