NAB2007: HBO Taps Las Vegas Post House for HD Boxing
HBO Sports didn't have to wander too far from the convention center housing NAB2007 last week to renew a deal with one of its HD post-production houses, 702 Productions of Las Vegas, which will produce HBO's final episode of "De La Hoya/Mayweather 24/7."
702 Productions recently acquired a 6,000-square-foot facility and one of its first major projects in its new home is the HBO series, according to the production house.
"De La Hoya/Mayweather 24/7" is a four-part unusual boxing series featuring world boxing champs Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather Jr., airing weekly on HBO. The show follows the fighters in their daily routines, culminating with a live boxing showdown between the fighters on Saturday, May 5, at the MGM Grand on the Las Vegas Strip.
702 Productions said it is Nevada's only five-suite Avid facility, and its technical resources include Unity and Panasonic Varicams and Sony F900 HD cameras.
