NAB2007: Vizrt to Intro Ultra High-Res 'Video Wall'
Vizrt will use NAB2007 in Las Vegas next month to introduce its Viz|Video Wall ER (extreme resolution), a proprietary software configuration that automatically relays scenes from various Vizrt graphic software applications to a shared cluster of Viz|Engine renderers. The company said the Viz|Engine produces graphics of "unlimited resolution" to a very large-scale video wall for live operation.
Earlier generations of video walls are used in several network programs now, including CNN's political coverage and other news programming, including interactive use in live broadcasts (such as state-by-state demographics on a map).
AT NAB2007, Vizrt plans to demo a Barco 5.5 x 2 meter interactive video wall using the new technology, according to a company statement from its headquarters in Bergen, Norway.
